It's a girl!

Mike and I found out Wednesday that our baby is a girl. We are thrilled! We would have been happy either way, but our families are very excited to add some more girl power to the fam. Mike's going to post some new sonogram pics in a few days. Unfortunately, none of the ones of her face turned out very well, but the pics are still pretty cool. We'll go back for another sonogram in 10 weeks. Seems like a long time to have to go without seeing her, but I bet the time will fly by. Until then...

Our little blastocyte

As most of the people reading this already know, Mike and I are going to become parents in March. Since we have so many friends and family members who live far away from us, we created this blog to keep everybody updated, and most importantly, to post pictures and video after the baby arrives. We probably won't do a lot of posting before March, but we will post the occasional update and sonogram pic. To that end, what you see here are Baby Melancon's first 2 sonogram pictures. These were taken two weeks apart, and we were glad to see the baby progress from an alien (bottom pic) to something more Cajun or Texan (top pic).
