A Bedtime Story

We switched things up last night, and Margaux told me a bedtime story instead of me telling her one.  Here's her story.  Nothing has been changed or added.  Spelling of some unusual words is just a guess.

Once upon a time in a far faraway land called New York there lived a giant animal named a snortysnufalus.  The snortysnufalus looks kind of like an elephant except that it is pink with red and orange polka dots and has orange eyes that it can see out of.  It lives in the water and has a blowhole.  It eats and drinks a liquid called fortaxim that gives it energy and that it can blow out its blowhole.  People hardly ever see the snortysnufalus, but it’s in the water about four miles from the Statue of Liberty.

Perhaps we've been watching a bit too much TV

The other day I overheard Margaux saying, "Toilet, commode, potty, throne, ..." and the list went on.  I said, "Margaux, who taught you all those different names?"  She said, "I don't know, but Clorox cleans them all!"

While we were in North Carolina with family, I told Margaux it was time to go to bed.  She got really upset and exclaimed, "I can't go now!  There's more late night fun coming right up!"
