Snow day on Monday!

What goes on in the night...

I went in to check on Margaux last night before going to bed and found this:





















Nothing too unusual about that, is there? Except that when we put her to bed, we put her *in* her bed. When I came back to check on her, she was no longer there.





















Instead, at some point between 8pm and midnight, she got up, out of bed, and spent considerable time pulling all of the blankets off her bed. She neatly arranged them into a pallet on the floor, and then pulled a large bean bag chair over the bed to serve as a blanket.



She's been saying she wants a bigger bed. Maybe she really means it.

You dig?

The unseasonably warm weather (which ends today, I'm afraid) has allowed M3 plenty of time outside. One of her favorite things to do is dig for earthworms.
















She found several this day....






















...and got nice and dirty, which is always fun.

Cruising

The day after Christmas, my Dad and Lauren took us on a week long Caribbean cruise. We went to Cozumel, Grand Cayman, and Jamaica. I thoroughly recommend this form of vacation, especially for those with young children. The cruise ship had a children's program that Margaux could go to anytime, and she often preferred to do that over hanging out with us. That meant Mike and I got to read entire books, eat adult dinners, and even occasionally lounge around with no plan at all. A good time was had by all. Here are a few pictures. Two of them are from the sea turtle farm on Cayman. The big turtle weighs a few hundred pounds, but he started out as little as the one that Margaux is holding. One other picture shows what Margaux looked like when we picked her up from the kids' club on Pirate night.
